Meet the Team

Dr Louise Johnson
Louise is an NHS Consultant Physiotherapist in Stroke Rehabilitation and a Principal Researcher at the University of Southampton.
She has considerable experience in developing clinical services, both within the UK and further afield. A strong advocate for clinically embedded research, Louise is engaged in multiple research programmes, teaches at several universities and has presented work nationally and internationally.
Louise has expertise in applied motor learning principles (including rehabilitation intensity), technology, implementation science and personalised care.

Dr Anna Gould
Anna works as a senior lecturer in physiotherapy at the University of the West of England and is the lead for the physiotherapy apprenticeship programme. She has extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate education in the UK and abroad.
Prior to perusing a career in academia, Anna worked as a clinical specialist in stroke rehabilitation and a community stroke team clinical manager. Anna’s research interests include using technology to improve gait following stroke.

Dr Vicki Hood
Vicky is a physiotherapist with a special interest in helping people with long term health conditions remain active. Her passion is group exercise to maximise efficiency in service delivery.
She has a PhD in biomechanics, and taught on the MSc in Movement Science at the University of Nottingham before starting a private practice and community gym focusing on rehabilitation for people with long term conditions.
Vicky is now lecturing at Sheffield Hallam University alongside seeing patients with a mix of neurological conditions.

Colin Domaille
Colin has specialised in neurological physiotherapy for over 20 years and has extensive experience in working with people with a variety of neurological conditions and complex disability. He is founder and co-director of Domaille Neurophysio, a highly respected private practice in Bristol, UK.
Colin teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate level and is an external examiner for the University of West of England Physiotherapy degree course. He has gained postgraduate qualifications at Masters level, and has been on the committee of the Southwest Association of Chartered physiotherapists interested in neurology (ACPIN) for over 20 years.
Colin’s practice is influenced through his vast range of clinical experience, including extensive knowledge of advancing technologies and robotic devices for the upper limb.

Dr Angie Logan
Angie is an NHS Consultant Physiotherapist in Stroke Rehabilitation in Devon and a researcher at the University of Plymouth.
Angie has significant experience in clinical education, developing clinical services, and implementing research into practice. She has expertise in rehabilitation for people with severe stroke and interest in motor learning principles, telerehab, implementation science, behaviour change and rehabilitation intensity.
